Responsible for all private fundraising, press communications, corporate partnerships, social media, and major events, the External Relations Department offers a rich, fast-paced team environment with lots of opportunity to learn about the workings of a large, international humanitarian aid organization.  he Social Media &amp; Online Marketing Intern will work on projects designed to promote s humanitarian work through various social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.  The Intern will also be the point of contact with bloggers that have offered to support the organizations efforts.  Additionally, the Intern will also work to develop and expand s presence on various social media websites. Proficiency in oral, written, and visual communications.   Strong understanding of Web communication principles in addition to communication in print media.   Strong technical skills, with an emphasis in physical and/or computer science  Excellent teamwork skills.   Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.   Ability to thrive under pressure.   Ability to think Out of the box.   Strong presentation skills preferred.   Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.   Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word processing software.   Familiarity with Adobe Captivate, Adobe FrameMaker or Robohelp preferred. Qualifications: Associate&amp;#8217;s degree or equivalent from an accredited two-year college or technical school and one year of related experience; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or Technical Writing preferred.
