Oversees the analysis of the front-end-engineering design and material introduced in formal filings under 18 CFR § 380. 12(m) and § 380. 12(o) for LNG facilities and coordinates the preparation of cryogenic design and pre-certification manuals. Coordinates preparation of the reliability and safety analyses included in Commission environmental documents for proposed LNG facilities and related marine transportation, LNG trucking and natural gas sendout systems. Organizes and leads technical conferences on engineering and safety matters with attorneys, engineers, local state and federal agencies, applicant representatives, affected landowners, and other stakeholders, to gain information and provide assistance in resolving issues.

Job Requirements : Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized Experience:Experience performing the technical (engineering) and environmental review function. Ability to identify and evaluate the most complex or unusual issues related to the engineering design, safety and reliability of proposed LNG facilities, and ability to recommend appropriate methods to resolve the issues. 2. Skill with engineering design and material introduced in formal filings, as well as with preparation of cryogenic design and pre-certification manuals for proposed LNG facilities. 3. Candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Geopak design software (V7 or later) and possess a high technical competency in the Microstation (V7 or later) CAD platform. Direct experience with the Federal Highway Administration/Federal Lands Highway Division and designing using Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) is preferred.
