Job Responsibilities : Serve as a managing editor for all marketing collateral produced by Delaware Investments. Collaborate with marketing peers and marketings internal clients – including sales teams, investment teams, and product management, among others – to lead content development for a wide variety of marketing efforts. Work closely with the head of account management to plan, schedule and assign work, and set project deadlines. Work closely with colleagues in marketing communications other creative groups (web, design), including team managers, to plan and design creative, timely marketing solutions that meet client needs. Help set the editorial tone and approach for marketings sales collateral. Provide leadership and guidance in the development of all written collateral for public, broker-dealer, and institutional audiences. Provide management oversight of the teams writers and senior writers, including general direction-setting, coaching, review, editorial consultation and leadership, regular meetings, etc. Guide the team in working closely with colleagues in editorial content services – adhering to all editorial styles and schedules, and working with legal compliance reviewers. Participate in marketing communications project planning. Serve as a key editor for mutual fund annual reports, providing oversight of content reviews, planning work, signing off on reports, etc. Serve as a key editor for quarterly marketing collateral such as portfolio commentaries, providing oversight of content development, participating in work planning, etc. Work with investment teams and the retail product management group in order to accurately and consistently document investment strategies and position products in sales materials and other marketing collateral. Aid account managers in creating regular progress reports on projects for key clients. Lead the planning for usage of outside writers or agencies where it relates to content development – both for annual report writing and marketing-oriented work.

Job Requirements : Strong knowledge of investment products and concepts. Strong knowledge of distribution channels and ability to tailor marketing materials for different audiences (individual and institutional investors, financial intermediaries) and across multiple media (print, web, PowerPoint, etc. ). Demonstrated ability to manage and keep a team moving efficiently toward both team and departmental goals. Demonstrated strong editor, with exceptional written and oral communications skills across the board. Ability to prioritize multiple projects to best meet initiative deadlines. Ability to think organizationally and to make decisions in line with departmental priorities. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills dealing with multiple internal and external clients on a daily basis. Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities; demonstrated negotiating skills. Bachelors degree in marketing, finance, or related field. MBA or other Masters degree a plus. 7-10 years of professional experience required, preferably in the financial services industry. Advertising agency or other marketing experience a plus.
