Performs canister repairs and handles overall troubleshooting of Optifill machine at the direction of Engineer. 7. Builds new canisters for drugs to be dispensed by Optifill 1. 8. Assists Inventory Coordinator with check in and put away of daily wholesale drug order following product storage procedures and standards. 9. Performs related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements : Requires some technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education; must have completed State, National, or NACDS technical training as required by State; normally requires one (1) to two (2) years related experience; must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of California; previous experience in Retail or Hospital pharmacy preferred. Data must be entered into a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for analysis. Testing must be coordinated with processing stages and filling requirements to ensure that minimum downtime is incurred during processing and filling operations. Responsibilities include optimizing batches, setting batch theoretical yields, writing corrections to compensate for product deficiencies, and releasing product to the filling lines. Analysts must learn how to troubleshoot when problems arise, perform maintenance, and repairs to expensive laboratory equipment. They are required to train continuously on new methods related to new or improved products or new requirements and serve as a trainer for training other Analysts. Furthermore, the laboratory Analysts assist in the testing and collection of data for the startup of new products and/or new lines or when product related problems occur. Observe all safety rules/regulations, reporting incidents, near misses, and chemical spills to the Teamleader or Supervisor immediately. Job Requirements : Educational requirements include high school Algebra and two semesters of college Chemistry. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a science field is desirable. Analysts are promoted from Analyst II to Analyst I status after completion of training established in the Analytical Laboratory Training Manual. The Analyst must be a fully trained and qualified Analyst II who has achieved Analyst III status in the respective lab and has held the position within the past two years.
